Jo is a qualified and experienced counsellor and coach. She is a member of the Australian Counselling Association and has 18+ years of private and public practice experience.

THE INTEGRATIVE APPROACH
My approach to counselling is integrative. This means I employ a number of therapeutic approaches that when facilitated together can achieve more than if used on their own. Through the integration of client centred, cognitive based therapy, narrative therapy and future and solution focussed approaches I support clients to gain insight/s around an issue, identify barriers / obstacles, make informed choices and then establish steps towards creating and sustaining change now and into the future.
At the core of my work is client empowerment, choice making and self direction. I focus on creating a safe and supportive conversation space for clients to tell their story and hear their truth, this in turn enables movement, choice and positive change.
I know that tapping into our core purpose and gaining our voices and confidence to live the lives of our very own choosing are the keys to success and happiness.
Through conversation we identify your needs and then work together on steps and actions that will support your journey. You then put these into practise in your everyday real life and we review them on a regular basis. My strength is in listening to you and your story clear of any judgements and then working with you to set in place a new vision and actions to overcome blocks and barriers to help you move forward.
